Common questions
Standard inclusions: room, all meals, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (often premium brands at higher tiers), entertainment, kids clubs and most pool/beach activities. Premium tiers add à-la-carte gourmet dining, top-shelf liquor and private cabanas. Excursions and spa treatments are typically extra.
Cancún Hotel Zone is a 14-mile barrier island in the city — denser, with nightlife and the easiest airport access (20–30 min). Riviera Maya runs south to Tulum — bigger, more spread-out resorts in jungle settings, closer to cenotes, ruins and Xcaret. Hotel Zone fits shorter stays; Riviera Maya is best for 7+ nights.
Each brand offers both. Royalton CHIC and Royalton Hideaway are adults-only; Royalton Splash is family-waterpark. Wyndham Grand Cancun is family AI. Hilton has separate adults-only (Mar Caribe) and family-friendly properties. Filter by audience above to compare side-by-side.
Yes — all three nationalities require a valid passport for entry. Mexico doesn't require a visa for tourist stays under 180 days for these passports. You'll receive an FMM tourist card on arrival; keep it for departure.
December–April is high season (winter sun); July–August is family peak. May–June and September–early November are shoulder season — best member-rate value. September–October overlaps peak hurricane probability — book flexible cancellation.
All our resort bookings include access to our concierge — we can pre-book Tulum sunrise tours, Chichén Itzá day trips, cenote dives (Dos Ojos, Hoyo Azul), and Xcaret evening shows at member rates.
Most premium AI resorts (Royalton, Hilton, Wyndham Grand, Hard Rock) include round-trip transfers from CUN airport. We confirm transfer inclusion at booking and arrange a private car on request.
Tipping isn't expected at AI resorts (it's bundled), but $1–2 USD per drink or $5 per excellent meal is appreciated and goes a long way with staff. Outside the resort, 10–15% on restaurants and taxis.
Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya by Karisma, and Wyndham Grand Cancun all feature dedicated waterparks. Margaritaville Island Reserve has Camp Margaritaville for kids.
We strongly recommend our member-rate flexible cancellation tier for stays September–early November. If a named storm impacts your stay, we'll rebook you on equivalent dates at no penalty.

About Mexico
Mexico's tourism map runs along two coasts that play very different roles for the international traveler. The Yucatán peninsula's Caribbean side — Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Tulum — anchors the all-inclusive resort economy. White-sand beaches, reef-protected calm water, and the densest concentration of brand AI properties in the Americas. The Pacific side — Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán — runs to drama: cliffs, sportfishing, and a closer flight from US west-coast hubs.
Cancún's Hotel Zone is the easiest entry point for first-time all-inclusive travelers. The 14-mile barrier island holds dozens of brand resorts within minutes of the international airport (CUN). Royalton CHIC Cancun, Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe, Planet Hollywood and Wyndham Grand all sit on the Hotel Zone strip. South of Cancún, the Riviera Maya runs to Tulum — premium AI brands set against jungle, cenotes and Mayan ruins. Royalton Riviera, Barceló Maya Beach, Margaritaville Island Reserve, Nickelodeon Karisma and Generations Riviera Maya are our most-booked picks here.
Mexico's all-inclusive segments cleanly into adults-only versus family. Adults-only resorts (Royalton CHIC, Margaritaville Adults, Planet Hollywood Adult Scene) prioritize couples — quieter pool decks, premium dining, often adults-21+ policies. Family resorts (Royalton Splash, Wyndham Grand, Hilton Cancun, Nickelodeon Karisma) go the other way: waterparks, kids clubs, family suites and kids-eat-free programs. Many travelers split-stay — adults-only for half the trip, family for the other half.
Beyond the resort, Mexico delivers cultural depth. Mayan ruins at Tulum, Chichén Itzá and Cobá; cenote diving at Dos Ojos and Hoyo Azul; Xcaret and Xel-Há eco-parks; Isla Mujeres ferry day trips; lucha libre nights in Mexico City. Hurricane season runs June–November, with peak risk August–October — we recommend our flexible cancellation tier for shoulder-season bookings. Whether you're a couple after adults-only Caribbean, a family after a waterpark, or a Pacific-coast traveler heading to Cabo, our Mexico selection is built for your Summer 2026 trip.
