Beach-club hotel vs AI
“Tulum is the only Riviera Maya base where you'll spend more on a boutique cabana than on a brand-AI all-inclusive resort.”

Tulum is the bohemian alternative to Riviera Maya AI — small boutique beach-club hotels, palapa cabanas, off-grid eco-chic. The pace is meaningfully slower (and considerably more expensive per night) than the AI corridor north. Most travelers visit Tulum as a day trip from Riviera Maya; dedicated stays are for travelers specifically wanting boho-eco.
Where to stay
Our ETG inventory doesn't currently include Tulum boutique beach-club hotels — most are independent. Use Riviera Maya AI for day trips to Tulum.
