“Lovely hotel, clean with great facilities and helpful staff.”
Great central location. Clean hotel, crisp white bedding Lovely facilities especially the tranquil rooftop bar. Good breakfast.
Whereas the location was great being central to most tourist attractions, bars, restaurants etc, this was spoilt by the unfortunately homeless members of the community setting up home on the streets surrounding the hotel. As much as we have empathy for their situation, it did feel very intimidating coming back to the hotel at night, or really any time we had to walk past them. One time we returned, a guy was in his underpants having a wash, putting hands down pants to wash his backside etc - that is not really ok. The whole area surrounding the hotel felt dirty and not very safe. With regard to the actual hotel:- The towels felt a little thin and well used. Wasn’t sure if the covers on the many scatter cushions on the bed are washed between guests? If not, then it’s a big no-no! EVERYTHING on the bed area should be washed between guests. Glad to see no runners or throws, and the bedding was crisps and clean which was lovely.
