Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach

“Relaxing beachfront retreat in the upscale Conrad Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, close to everything.”

The location was beachfront, with direct access to the water. That’s one of the main reasons I chose this property. I loved being able to walk out of my room, and be right on the sand. There is a team on the beach that sets up chairs for you, and the service was great. The Conrad is newly built, and everything feels very upscale. I really enjoyed the pool experience as well. The condo was clean, with updated appliances, soaking tub, Byredo amenities, and a full balcony. The owner and his team were helpful every step of the way and very attentive.

Nothing. I was really happy and would absolutely stay here again.

“One and done!”

I won’t be returning to the Conrad Fort Lauderdale. I booked this stay through Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts and have Hilton Gold status, so I expected a premium experience. Unfortunately, this hotel didn’t deliver the level of service or hospitality I associate with a luxury property. The customer service started off poorly with the chat feature, which was unhelpful. At the front desk, the experience wasn’t much better. Over the course of four days, I walked through the lobby numerous times and was only greeted or acknowledged once. Hospitality should be consistent, not the exception. To make matters worse, our room was assigned directly next to the elevator. Every time it ran, I could hear it from the bedroom, making it difficult to get a peaceful night’s sleep. For a hotel at this price point, room placement and noise should be considered. When I inquired about an upgrade, I was offered what was described as an upgrade from my One-Bedroom Partial Ocean View Suite to a Junior Suite overlooking the pool. Giving up a separate bedroom is not an upgrade. It was disappointing, especially considering I booked through Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts and have Hilton Gold status. Breakfast service was inconsistent. While one morning we were warmly welcomed, the other experiences were forgettable. On one morning, despite there being plenty of available tables, the host seated us under a fan that wasn’t working. It was so warm that I could barely enjoy my breakfast, and it was frustrating given that other seating was available. I’ve had much better experiences at JW Marriott properties, where the service feels warm, attentive, and genuinely guest-focused. That’s the level of hospitality I expected here, but it was missing throughout our stay. The location is excellent, but a great location doesn’t make up for an underwhelming guest experience. For me, luxury is defined by exceptional service and thoughtful hospitality, and this stay simply didn’t meet that standard. I won’t be returning.

“Superb!”

Sadly we are leaving tomorrow to continue our holiday in Orlando, I wish we booked longer here. We stayed 3 nights, arriving at 9.30am to a lovely welcome and our room being available already! All staff are so lovely, our room was great, we booked a wrap around balcony 1 bed apartment with kitchen, so spacious for the 3 of us. My daughter on the sofa bed but still plenty or room, pool area lovely and a really lively adult vibe with tunes, house keeping superb, Japanese Restaurant a highlight, we will be back, thank you Conrad!
