- The Golden Mile is a flat 4 km of coast between Marbella old town and Puerto Banús. Nothing five-star fronts the marina; everything is a walk or a short taxi from it.
- Dining
- Puerto Banús itself is restaurants and bars along the quay. Puente Romano's plaza is the alternative, with more than fifteen venues in one place.
- Transit
- About 45 minutes from Málaga Airport. Along the Golden Mile taxis are constant and parking in Banús is difficult.

The closest of the five-stars: direct beach access and a short walk into the centre of Puerto Banús.
Tip: The walk into Banús is the reason to book it — you can leave the car and the taxi out of the evening.
ME by Meliá Marbella
Three pools including an adults-only one, and a complimentary spa area with sauna and Turkish bath, on the Banús side of the Golden Mile.
Tip: The Level rooms carry their own services and pool access; the standard rate does not include them.

Tip: Ask which building — the plaza is the centre of the property and the outer wings are a walk from it.
