Erika Marlowe leads editorial strategy at The Travel Club. For a decade before joining, she covered the luxury hospitality industry as a contributing editor for Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure, writing over 200 hotel reviews and destination features across five continents.

Her beat has included the rise of design-led hospitality in Lisbon and Mexico City, the ultra-luxury consolidation wave of 2020–2024, and investigative reporting on hotel-pricing opacity — the last of which shapes much of The Travel Club's editorial voice.

Erika holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley and is based in Newport Beach, California, where she writes from an office overlooking the harbor. She has stayed in 340+ hotels and counting.
